Hussain Gardezi didn’t set out to be a business owner. He was the routine-oriented guy who showed up, did his job, and went home. Then a layoff from Best Buy changed everything — and the community around him made the next step obvious. Customers were already calling. A need was already there. So Hussain switched gears, took on the challenge, and Sierra Tech Connect was born.

Based in Gardnerville and serving the Carson Valley, Minden, Reno, and Northern Nevada, Sierra Tech Connect is a custom integration company that does exactly what the name implies — it connects people to technology in ways that actually make sense. “There’s a huge gap in the tech world,” Hussain explains. “It’s overwhelming for the average person to know how tech can be implemented or how to use it. We simplify it. Awareness and implementation — we tackle both.“

From home networks and eero mesh systems to full custom installs, Hussain and his team show up, deliver, and make customers say wow. He’s a certified pro installer with credentials from multiple tech companies and a Nevada business license — but what really sets him apart is the human side of the business. Friendly. Funny. Hardworking. That’s how the people closest to him describe Hussain — and customers feel it.

His morning ritual says it all: coffee with his wife Brooke, a slow ease into the day, and a mindset focused on making a difference. Married 15 years, a fan of mountain biking, hiking, and cooking dinner for his family, Hussain lives by a simple motto: “Setbacks are the path to success.“

When asked what keeps him motivated, he doesn’t hesitate — “Helping our community, learning something new, and seeing our customers happy.“
